ON THE PULSE

Inspired by the work of 'The Brain Tumour Charity' the collection 'On the Pulse' embraces the research done by the foundation infusing it with Youth Culture. Heavily embellished garments and bold prints give the collection a youthful edge and won the title 'Young Designer of the Year 2017-18' with FS.

THE COLLECTION

Embracing the bold prints and heavy embellishments that are signature to Katie's ranges 'On the Pulse' has a more playful, youthful element to it. Creating more commercial pieces and a more diverse range, Katie was able to capture the attention of the audience and the judging panel.

THE CHARITY

The selected charity for FS17 was 'The Brain Tumour Charity' and Katie felt it was so important to incorporate this within her work, as it is a cause very close to her heart. This can be seen in the bold print details where brain scans and cells are an integral part of the design.
